Terri joined the firm in August of 1995.   She assists clients with export licenses and other approvals issued by the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and the Treasury’s Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. She is attending Villa Julie College and is expected to earn her B.S. in Paralegal Studies by Dec. 2006

Brenda joined the firm in 1998. She assists clients with export licenses and other approvals issued by the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and the Treasury’s Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls

-     Register companies with the State Department

-     Prepare and file DSP-5, DSP-73, DSP-83 and other applications for export licenses and other approvals

-     Coordinate with personnel within DOS and other reviewing agencies on pending applications

Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)

-     Prepare technical reviews for commodities controlled for encryption reasons on categories of the Export Administration Regulation (EAR)

-     File Commodity Classification Requests with the Bureau of Industry and Security

-     Draft Letters of Explanation, export license, reexport license and technology license applications for submission to the Bureau of Industry and Security

-     Coordinate with various personnel within the U.S. Government in conjunction with pending technical reviews and license applications

Treasury Department, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)

-     Prepare and file license applications for Cuba, Iran, and Sudan (among other countries) as required by various sanctions administered by OFAC

-     Coordinate with personnel within OFAC on pending applications

Government of Israel

-     Assist clients in the preparation and filing of applications with the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) for licenses authorizing the sale of encryption products in Israel and the Palestinian Authority

Government of France

-     Assist clients in the preparation and filing of applications with the DCSSI (Department of Central Information Systems Security Division) for authorization to sell encryption products in France
