Objectives

ANS has identified several specific, near-term objectives:

• Obtain approval to export qualifying products to governments and service providers

• Obtain approval to export qualifying products to end-users located in additional countries

• Obtain approval to export additional products that meet national security and law enforcement requirements

• Work with the various interested agencies in order to ensure that the regulations implementing the new encryption export control policy with respect to recoverable products deliver all the benefits promised by the White House, and recommend ways in which the implementing regulations can be simplified, for ease of administration by the government and industry
